Lecture on “Advanced AutoCAD for Mechanical Design, Drafting, and Industrial Applications” organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering on 12 Dec 2025


“Advanced AutoCAD for Mechanical Design, Drafting, and Industrial Applications”, participants gained practical understanding of advanced AutoCAD tools, commands, and drafting techniques used in Mechanical Engineering industries. Students developed awareness about professional engineering drawing practices, dimensioning standards, layer management, and preparation of accurate mechanical and assembly drawings.
The event enhanced students’ knowledge of industrial applications of AutoCAD in manufacturing, product design, machine drawing, and production documentation. Participants improved their technical visualization and drafting skills, enabling them to prepare engineering drawings more efficiently and accurately according to industry requirements.
The lecture also increased students’ awareness of current industrial expectations and career opportunities related to CAD-based design and drafting. Overall, the event strengthened the technical competency, industry readiness, and confidence of students for academic projects, internships, and future professional roles in mechanical engineering and allied industries.
