Eligibility for the Bachelor of Technology Program
The eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Tech program at Bansal Institute of Research & Technology, Bhopal, are as per the standard norms prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh, and affiliated universities.
- Academic Qualification:
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination or equivalent from a recognized board.
- The qualifying examination must include Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.
- Minimum Marks Required:
- Candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Madhya Pradesh) in the above subjects taken together.
- Entrance Examination:
- Admission is primarily based on the JEE Main score.
- Candidates who have not appeared in JEE Main can also be considered for admission through college-level counseling based on qualifying exam marks (subject to availability of seats).
- Domicile Requirements (For State Quota Seats):
- For admission under the State Quota, the candidate must be a domicile of Madhya Pradesh or must have passed Class 12 from a school located in Madhya Pradesh.
- Age Limit:
- There is no specific age limit for admission to B.Tech as per most universities and DTE guidelines. However, candidates must meet the age criteria, if prescribed by a specific institution or university.
- Reservation Policy:
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Government of Madhya Pradesh norms.
